Paul Trementozzi recently appointed Steve and Tece Entsminger as the new directors of Europe’s Children, an initiative of the Europe Region to reach and disciple the 80 million children in the 32 countries of Europe. The Entsmingers follow Karmi Buckley, who served as director for the past eight years. Buckley will continue work with her husband to plant an international church in Budapest, Hungary.
Europe’s Children was started in 1999 by Sandie Mundis, who also served at the time with her husband Greg as regional director of Europe. Through the years, Europe’s Children has ministered though evangelism teams, funding for camps, Vacation Bible School feeding programs, and much more. Buckley was named director in 2008 and advanced the ministry through the Children’s Ministry Network, which resulted in a biennial children’s workers’ conference that workers from many European countries.
The Entsmingers were appointed in 1988 with AGWM and served in Honduras until 2007. They transferred to Spain and currently live in Cordoba, Spain, where they collaborate with the Spanish Assemblies of God seminary and several national and European children’s ministry programs. They have three adult children—Nathan, Rachel, and Matthew.
The Entsmingers plan to build upon the previous director’s accomplishments and increase the influence of Europe’s Children. They will focus on promoting children’s ministry to national and local leaders by providing training for and equipping children’s workers. Due to the needs and opportunities, they will also seek to invite experienced children’s workers to serve in Europe.
Pray for the Entsmingers as they begin this new position. Also pray for the children of Europe who desperately need the good news of the gospel. We want to hear from you.
